DOORAGE’S PRIVACY POLICY

 

Welcome

Thank you for visiting Doorage.com, the online and mobile service of Doorage Inc. (referred to as “Doorage,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Doorage’s Privacy Policy explains how we gather, use, share, and protect the information for this Site, and the choices have regarding the collection and use of the information.

Principles

The trust of our clients is a crucial component of Doorage’s business. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of the personal information our clients provide to Doorage and we are dedicated to keeping your information secure. Doorage will only use your information as appropriate and we have adopted this Privacy Policy as assurance that your information is handled safety and responsibly. To that effect, Doorage will:

  • Respect the confidential nature of the information provided through your relationship with Doorage.
  • Limit the information collected to only that which is necessary to serve you as the client and facilitate the operation of our business.
  • Restrict access to Doorage employees to only those on a “need to know” basis to better serve you as the client and for the operation of Doorage’s business.
  • Implement and maintain the appropriate security procedures to protect your information and educate our employees about the importance of the client’s privacy and confidentiality.

Note: This Privacy Policy contains some capitalized terms, which are defined in our Terms of Use Agreement.

 

COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION

Doorage collects the following types of information from you:

Contact Information: We ask for certain information such as your full name, phone number, e-mail address, and your physical address at the time you register for a Doorage account, or if you correspond with us. We may also retain any information you send to us via voice or email message and/or through the Site, and we may maintain information in User Content that you provide to the Site. Doorage will use this information to operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the Site and Doorage Services.

Third-Party Information: Doorage may receive information about you from a third party. Accordingly, if you access our Site through a third-party connection or log-in (i.e., Facebook Connect), that third party may forward details about your use of its service to Doorage. This information could include, for example, the user identification associated with your account, an access token necessary to access that service, any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any public information in connection with that service. If you allow us access to your “Friends,” your friends’ user IDs and your connection to those friends may be used and stored to make your experience more social, and to allow you to invite your friends to use our Site as well. As an opt-out measure, you may adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the Doorage Site and/or unlink your third party account from the Site by adjusting your settings on the third party service.

“Invite Friends” feature: You may invite a third party to the Site through our “Invite Friends” feature,  but Doorage not require that you import your Contacts, and we do not retain the information contained in your Contacts. You understand that by inviting a friend to the Doorage Site through the “Invite friends” feature, you are directly sending a text or email from your personal accounts and therefore, Doorage is not storing your contact list. In addition, you understand and agree that normal carrier charges and fees apply to communications sent from your phone. This invitation is coming directly from your email device and Doorage does not have access to or control over this communication.

Analytics. Doorage may directly collect analytics data and/or use third-party analytics tools to help measure “traffic” and usage trends for the Site and Doorage Services. With the use of such tools, Doorage may collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages that you have visited and other information that assists us in improving the Site and Storage Services. Doorage may collect and use the analytics information in aggregate form such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual User.

Cookies: When you visit the Site, Doorage may send one or more “Cookies” (a small, text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters) to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and allows Doorage to expedite your log in and enhance your navigation through the Site. A cookie may also convey details of your use of the Site (e.g., the pages viewed, links selected and/or other actions taken on the Site), which allows Doorage to track your usage of the Site. A “persistent cookie” remains on your hard drive after you close your browser and may be utilized by your browser on subsequent visits to the Site. A “session cookie” is temporary and disappears after you close your browser.

You may reset your web browser to refuse all cookies, remove persistent cookies and/or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Site may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

Remarketing: Doorage’s website uses the outside remarketing service to advertise on third-party websites to previous visitors to our Site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who have not completed a task on our Site (i.e., using the contact form to make an inquiry). Remarketing may take on the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site within the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Doorage website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own Privacy Policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt-out of interest-based advertising entirely by blocking/deleting/clicking “off” on your cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.

Log File: Log file data is automatically reported by your browser or device each time you access the Site. When you use our Site, Doorage’s servers will automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information (e.g., domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, reference or exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and/or your interaction with links on the Site).

Clear gifs/web beacons: When you use the Site, Doorage may employ clear gifs (a/k/a web beacons) that are used to anonymously track the online usage patterns of Doorage’s Users. In addition, Doorage may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track whether emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. Doorage uses such details to facilitate more accurate reporting and improvement of the Site.

Device Identifiers: When accessing the Site via a mobile device, be advised that Doorage may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers,” such as a universally unique identifier (“UUID”). Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your particular mobile device and represents a unique identifier of that device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device’s hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operating system or other software, and/or data sent to the device by Doorage. A device identifier may also convey details to Doorage about how the consumer browses and/or uses the Site. A device identifier may remain persistently on your device to facilitate your future log-ins and enhance your navigation through the Site. Some features of the Site may not function properly if use or availability of device identifiers is impaired or disabled.

Location Data: When you use the Site and Doorage Services, we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store “location data,” including location data that you directly provide to us. Location data allows us to provide the Site and Doorage Services (e.g., pick up and deliver your Goods), and may also convey to us information about how you browse and use the Site and Doorage Services. Some features of the Site, particularly location-based services, may not function properly if use or availability of location data is impaired or disabled.

Communications to You: We may use the information you provide to communicate directly with you, including such things as e-mails containing newsletters, promotions and special offers. If you do not want to receive such communications, you will have the option to opt out or change your preferences. We also use your information to send you Site and Doorage Service-related emails (e.g., account verification, purchase and billing confirmations and reminders, changes/updates to features of the Site and Doorage Services, technical and security notices). You may not opt out of Site and Doorage Service-related e-mails.

Use of Service Type Information Collected: We may use cookies, log file, device identifiers, location data and clear gifs information to (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.): (i) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it each time you visit the Site; (ii) provide custom, personalized content and information; (iii) to provide and monitor the effectiveness of our Site and Doorage Services; (iv) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns; (v) diagnose or fix technology problems; (vi) help you to efficiently access your information after upon sign in; (vii) to provide advertising to your browser or device; and (viii) automatically update the Doorage application on your mobile devices. We may also share certain service type information (i) with our third-party business partners for the purposes described in the section above on “How We Collect and Use Information.” We may also aggregate or otherwise strip data of all personally identifying characteristics and may share that aggregated, anonymized data with third parties.

 

SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

We will not share or disseminate your information to third parties without your consent, except as noted below:

May Share: We may share your information with third-party business partners for the purpose of providing the Site and Doorage Services to you. Those business partners will be given limited access to your information as is reasonably necessary to pick-up and/or deliver and provide the Doorage Services.  We will require that such third parties comply with this Privacy Policy.

You May Share: If you choose to make any profile information or other content available to other Users or third parties, such Users and third parties will be able to access the content, as controlled by any applicable privacy settings. Subject to any privacy settings, any content that you make “public” is searchable by other Users. If you remove information that you posted to any public portions of the Site, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Site, or if other Users have copied or saved that information.

Change of Control Sharing: We may buy or sell/divest/transfer Doorage (including any shares in Doorage), or any combination of its products, services, assets and/or business. We may also sell, assign or otherwise transfer such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, reorganizations, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all of or a portion of Doorage.  Your contact information, such as names and email addresses, User Content and other user information related to the Site and Doorage Services may be among the items sold or otherwise transferred in these types of transactions.

Required Sharing: Doorage will disclose your information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (i) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; (ii) to enforce our Terms of Use Agreement or to protect the security or integrity of our Site and Doorage Services; and/or (iii) to exercise or protect the rights and/or safety of Doorage property and employees/subcontractors, our Users or others.

Ads on Doorage: We may also share certain information such as your location, browser and cookie data and other data relating to your use of our Site with our business partners to deliver advertisements (“ads”) that may be of interest to you. Doorage may allow third-party ad servers or ad networks to serve advertisements on the Site or third-party sites and services. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser or mobile device, the ads and ad links that appear on the Site and third-party sites and services, and will automatically receive your IP address when they do so. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, device identifiers, location data, and clear gifs, see above) to compile information about your browser’s or device’s visits and usage patterns on the Site and third-party sites and services, and to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize the advertising content. Doorage does not sell, rent, or share the information we collect directly from you or about you from third parties with these third-party ad servers or ad networks for such parties’ own marketing purposes.

Please note that Doorage may show an ad to a certain audience (e.g., based on demographics or other interests). In that situation, Doorage will determine the target audience and Doorage provide the advertising to that audience but only provide anonymous aggregated data to the advertiser. However, if you respond to such an ad, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the targeted audience. The Doorage Privacy Policy does not apply to the activities of third-party advertisers. Please consult the respective privacy policies of such advertisers or contact such advertisers for more information.

 

MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

Storage and Processing: Your information collected through the Site will be stored and processed in the United States

Security of Information: Doorage cares about the security of your information, and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and safety of all information collected through the Site. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from Doorage. That said, Doorage cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Doorage or guarantee that information on the Site may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes to the functionality of third-party sites and services that you add to the Doorage Site, such as social networks. Doorage is not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

Compromised Information: In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security measures in place, Doorage will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and notify you so that you may take additional protective measures in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

 

 YOUR INFORMATION OPTIONS

Control of Your Account: You may update your account information and email-communication preferences at any time by emailing us at Customer Services@Doorage.com. You can also stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. We will make every effort to promptly process all “unsubscribe” requests. As noted above, you may not opt out of Site and Storage Service- related communications (e.g., account verification, purchase and billing confirmations and reminders, changes/updates to features of the Site and Doorage Services, technical and security notices). If you have any questions about reviewing or modifying your account information, you can contact us directly at Customer Service @Doorage.com.

Opting Out of Information Collection: Please refer to your mobile device or browser’s technical information for instructions on how to delete and disable cookies, and other tracking/recording tools. Depending on your type of device, it may not be possible to delete or disable tracking mechanisms on your mobile device. Note that disabling cookies and/or other tracking tools prevents Doorage from tracking your browser’s activities in relation to the Site, and for use in targeted advertising activities by third parties. However, doing so may disable many of the features available through the Site. Keeping Your User Content: Following termination or deactivation of your User account, Doorage may retain your profile information and User Content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, or audit purposes.

 

LINKS TO OTHER WEB SITES AND SERVICES

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites or services linked to or from the Site, including the information or content contained therein. Doorage’s Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services when you use a link to go from our Site to another website. Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including links or advertisements on our website, are subject to that third party’s own rules and policies. In addition, we are not responsible for and we do not have any control over any third-parties that you authorize to access your User Content. If you are using a third-party website or service (like Facebook) and you allow such a third-party access to your User Content, you do so at your own risk. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources other than through the Site.
